The clinic reopened on 29th June for emergency & urgent care
The Government have announced that as of 17th August they
will allow us to perform a very limited number of AGPs ( aerosol
generating procedures) in the clinic per day. This is in the
region of 5 patients maximum per day.
We are awaiting mask fit testing for the dental staff and until this
is done and the clinic has procured enhanced PPE from the
health board for these procedures we cannot perform any such
There are still many limitations in place and we would ask
patients to note the following:
Routine dental care is still not available.
Dental examinations/scalings etc are not available.
Appointments must have been pre arranged.
The use of drills is not yet permitted.
The clinic can only see a very limited number of patients per
The front door is to remain locked and booked patients will
need to phone to gain access, where they shall be met by a
member of the dental team with PPE.
Patients who have an appointment shall be contacted by the
surgery the night before to confirm the new process that is in
place, in addition to asking both a Medical questionnaire and a
COVID 19 screening questionnaire.
